A Sister is everlastingly
By Bruce B. Wilmer
A sister’s a sister eternally,
A tie that diminishes never,,
A friend who is kindly and caring,,
A sibling God chooses for sharing.,
Few ties as deep and profound,
And with so much love abound,
Though some thoughts are seldom expressed,
Love endures and survives every test.,
Of the constants that rest in the heart,,
A sister’s a major part.,
She’ll always be there when you need her,
You listen, you value, you heed her.,
As growth, independence you ponder,,
Your thoughts grow deeper and fonder;,
And life tells you one thing that is true:,
A sister’s a huge part of you.
Growing up as kids we were bless
to have come from a loving home
Parents that guided and loved us
and never did us wrong.
We had a beautiful childhood
Many memories we all hold
we’ve always had that sibling bond
that’s more precious than gold.
Mom and Dad had it hard
Raising six kids way back then
but we never went hungry or unclothed
and their love was heaven sent.
I’m appreciative that we were loved
something money could never buy
this was the prosperity that filled our hearts
Because Mom and Dad always tried.
Now as I’m getting older
I’ve learnt to welcome things much more
I’m thankful we loved each other
and each one of you I worship.
Today I want to say to each of you
I Love You with my whole heart
I’ll Love You beyond this lifetime
and my love will never stop.

राखी Day is virtuous Day
This full moon day our hearts are in top
emotion of faith and serenity in wits.
We light the lamps and our hears glow
Radiance of happiness and peace are in flow.
Harmonious homes are like streams of joy
Flowing and prosperous the landscape en route.
Dignity in heart and character in deed
Righteous homes alone make a beautiful State.
Sisters will tie the thread on the brothers
abiding them to do only what is right and clean.
Put the Kumkum and blessed rice on the head
Where will stay right thoughts and righteous action.
राखी Festival for All
Nowadays Rakhi is considered to be the festival of brother and sister. The sisters wait for this festival from the month before. On this occasion, married sisters maternal in-laws and organize rakhi banding on the wrist of the brothers. They apply tilak on their forehead and bind them with a rakhi. Brother gives happiness to the sister by giving some gifts. Love gives new clothes and money. The family has a sense of happiness. In the hands of older children, the defense-threads are tied. Special dishes are made in the house.
On the day of ShravanPurnima, special puja is performed in the temples. People come to Jalgaon to carry water to Shivaji while walking miles. The scene of walking with a crowbar on the brow is very unique. This trip brings great pleasure. ShravaniMela seems to be held at several pilgrim centers. There are puja lessons and havan programs in the house. Donation has been recognized as a special significance of RakshaBandhan. This is called the virtue of virtue, it is said. People feed the bunches and give them new clothes. The pandit is supplied to the Purites and donations are given to Dakshina.
Rakshabandhan is festivals that foster family gathering and reconciliation. All members of the family are gathered on this occasion. Married sisters come in contact with my maternal uncle. The memories of childhood become alive in his mind. Children and girls dressed in new clothes, dressed in the courtyard. The sister binds the rakhi in the brother’s wrist and promises her protection. Brother follows this promise. In this way, there is strongness in family relationships. People begin to give importance to mutual love by forgetting the past tears.
So now, don’t worry about the poems and essays for your children’s’ extra-co-curricular activity.
